Race Date: Aug 12-17, 2012

Open Men Duo:
teams of 2 men of all ages and abilities

Open Women Duo:
teams of 2 women of all ages and abilities

Open Mixed Duo:
Mixed gender teams of all ages and abilities

Duo 80+:
Combined rider age of 80 or more. Can be men, women or mixed

Duo 100+:
Combined rider age of 100 or more. Can be men, women or mixed

Singlespeed Duo:
A team of 2 singlespeeders. Can be men, women or mixed

Solo Men Open:
Men of all ages and abilities. Generally considered an elite category.

Solo Women Open:
Women of all ages and abilities. Generally considered an elite category.

Solo Singlespeed Open:
Singlespeeders of all ages, genders & abilities.

Solo Men 40+:
Men whose racing age is 40 years or greater.

Solo Men 50+:
Men whose racing age is 50 years or greater.

Clydesdale Solo:
Hard-asses 200# and above.

 

3-day Racer Categories

 

 

Race Dates: Mon-Wed, Aug 12-14. 2012 (satges 1-3 of the 6-day event)

• Solo Open Men:
  Men of all ages and abilities. This category is for the guns.

  Solo Open Women:
  Gotta have feelings, a conscience and nice manners. In other words, not a man.

  Solo Men 40+:
  Men who turn 40 by Dec 31, 2011.

A couple of notes on categories:

Each category must have at least 5 entrants (or 5 teams). Should the category not meet that criteria we reserve the right to combine it with another category.

Your ‘racing age’ for the Breck Epic is the age you will be on December 31st, of the year of the event.

Please understand that although we've got nearly 20 years of event production under the hood (Firecracker 50, Mountain States Cup, NMBS, SuperCup Cyclocross Series, Rocky Mountain G3 Gravity Series) the Breck Epic is still a young event - we need to stay pretty close to center so that we can ensure continued success.

Solo Information:

Solo categories are open to anyone, but we'd highly recommend that ANYONE registering for this race be functioning as a solid Sport-class rider or above.
