Merchandise

Oh we’ve got merchandise, brothers and sisters. And lots of it. It’s all coming out of the Smithwood Drive Design and Jett MTB houses of style. We’ll have jerseys, Coolmax socks, wool socks, a couple of different caps, some tees for the dudes and some tees for the girlies. We’ll also have some sweet wool trainers so you can sport your Breck Epic steez in the shoulder seasons. Look for pics here a bit down the road.

Race entrant schwag?

But of course. The entrants get their starter kit.

  • A ridiculous swag bag
  • Comfy, make-you-go-faster sockies
  • A good quality tee-shirt you'll have to guard
  • A kick-ass jersey that you might just want to sleep in (but please don't).

2009 Jerseys:

These are what we came up with for last year's race. We'll post pics of 2010 once we sign off on the renderings. But for old time's sake, here's what we said about 2009's stuff:

The jerseys are all below. The first is the jersey you get as your freebie when you enter the race. We're pretty stoked about how it blends modern textures and style with the old-school vintage wool trainer look that we know and love. You wanted argyle? Argyle it is.

The second jersey (the black feller) is the race leader's rig. Stand on top of the GC and you'll become the object of admiration, jealousy and outright lust of your fellow racers by pulling this bad boy on. Every man will want to be like you, every woman will want to be with you. Or vice-versa if you're a chick.

The third fine fellow is a long-sleeved version of the entrant's jersey. We're only making a handful of these and they'll be for sale at race HQ.

And the last in line is the all-mountain version - a full-on tech tee from the brainiacs at Jett MTB. Suprisingly, a little over a third of the field has opted for this version sight-unseen. Now that we've all seen it in its black and bad-ass splendor I fully expect that number to trend upward.

Behold...the 2009 Breck Epic jersey collection. To know it is to love it...
